Our little owl turns one!

Our little owl turns one!

Miah was born at 3:53 a.m. December 15, 2017. Even her arrival time reflected magic to me. Our little owl was a miracle after dealing with unexplained infertility and she amazes me still. Every moment from the time I found out I was pregnant to this very second now where I’m watching her stomp around like a banshee has been completely unbelievable. She’s the best thing that has happened to me and the most challenging. She teaches me daily. When my strength wavers, I don’t need long to realize that I need to pull it all in again because she deserves it.

She’s fiery. So stinkin’ smart. Has places to go I don’t  even know about and has conversations we are too dumb to understand. I’m a different woman these days for all the right reasons.

We celebrated our “sparkly wild child,” as her other favorite photographer Sherry of Dream Focus Studio called her after her cake smash shoot, this past weekend. She was surrounded by people who love her and have rallied for us from the start. Miah had such a great time. Unfortunately I didn’t take many photos but I posted a few on my main Instagram and my father took some I will add to this post as he gets them to me later. For now just know that planning a toddler’s birthday is an undertaking enough but combine it with the holidays and it’s a doozy! (feel inspired to write more about this at a later date.) So I am just happy I have what I have!

Here’s Miah wondering why we are singing...Her faces, I swear!

I feel so blessed with this little munchkin. I’m hoping for an upcoming year of fun discoveries to bookend the challenges I have yet to face. She’s worth every minute.
